Support-A-Scholar: Term Scholarships
Goal: $250,000

Term scholarships are unique because 100 percent of the money donated goes directly to students with financial need next year. Your gift will make a substantial impact on the life of a student with financial need. Please join Temple as it strives to help students realize their dreams of becoming physicians.

Ophthalmology Department Renovation
Goal: $300,000

Wendy and Solomon Luo, MD have issued a 1:1 matching gift challenge, effectively doubling all gifts to the department, up to $150,000. Gifts of $1,500, $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $15,000 or more will be commemorated with an engraved plaque in the lobby of the renovated facility. Gifts of greater amounts can be used to dedicate a particular piece of equipment, and individuals who wish to make either a one-time gift or a longer-term pledge totaling $25,000 can name one of the exam rooms in the department. Alfred A. Bove, MD, PhD, Endowed Chair in Cardiology
A committee is being formed, chaired by Paul Hermany, MD, '82 and William VanDecker, MD to raise $2 million to establish the Alfred A. Bove, MD, PhD Endowed Chair in Cardiology.

Committee members, as of June 15, are Bruce Applestein, MD, ’66; William Frankl, MD, ’55; Steven Houser, PhD, ’78; Henry Hsai, MD; Doug Mann, MD, ’79; Jose Missri, MD; and Randy Starling, MD, ’81.
