Boyer College of Music and Dance

Greetings,

It has been an exciting winter for the Boyer College of Music and Dance! Our recent Keyboard Kaleidoscope concert series included the first American performance of Chopin's piano concerti with string quartet, as well as harpsichord and fortepiano performances by current students. And, we received recognition at the 53rd annual GRAMMY Awards, where former faculty member Bill Cunliffe's fourth stream…La Banda was nominated for Best Instrumental Composition. This piece was commissioned by the college and was performed by our students, with Terell Stafford on trumpet and Luis Biava conducting. It has been released by our record label, BCM&D Records, and is available for download from iTunes and CDBaby. We are honored to be associated with this nomination.

Our schedule of performances and events continues to be a busy one, and I invite you to visit our web site for details. There are several events of specific interest to alumni -- I hope to see you there.
