Third Annual Student & Alumni Networking Night
Tuesday, Feb. 15, 5:00-7:45 PM (Alumni program begins at 6:00 PM)
Main Campus, Student Center, room 200, 13th Street between Cecil B. Moore and Montgomery avenues
Networking Night, which is co-hosted by the Temple University Young Alumni, Temple University Black Alumni Alliance, Temple's Career Center and the Office of Leadership Development, encourages students to meet with Temple alumni from all careers and fields to hone their networking skills and prepare for today's highly competitive job market. More than 250 students and 100 alumni participated in last year's event. Click here for additional information.

The Temple Idea - "The world through the lens: How photographs shape our understanding"

Join photojournalism expert Andrew Mendelson to explore the variety of ways photographs affect the way we see politics and war, celebrity and culture, family and ourselves. Mendelson, chair of Temple's Journalism Department, is widely recognized for his work on media and culture, including his recent research of self-presentation on Facebook.

$13 per person includes presentation and discussion, box lunch and beverage; $9 per person for Temple graduates of 2001-2010

The Temple Idea - "The financial crisis: Near the end or just the calm before the storm?"

Bruce Rader, assistant professor of finance at the Fox School of Business, will lead a freewheeling discussion of the current financial crisis and what we can expect in the future. Are government actions increasing the probability of further economic chaos or leading the nation back to stability? Known for his clear vision and forthright perspective, Rader will share his informed opinions on recent governmental actions and their possible consequences.
