Tyler School of Art

GAID
Dear xxxx,

As a graduate of Tyler, you know that an exceptional level of dedication is required to achieve a BFA in Graphic & Interactive Design here. While the program has adapted to and embraced many changes in the field, the rigor of instruction and the high quality of student work has remained constant. GAID at Tyler continues to rank among the top undergraduate programs in the country and is consistently recognized by the profession's most highly regarded professional organizations and publications. For information about the many recent student and faculty achievements in GAID, check out our website.

While you are visiting the website, we hope that you will consider making a donation to the GAID Awards Fund. Your generosity will help us honor design students who have distinguished themselves through their talent, hard work and achievement. In 2011-12, design majors are being recognized for their work in the Annual Restaurant Identity Exhibition — juried by Matteo Bologna — and Interact, the annual showcase of interactive design work in GAID. Graduation awards for the Class of 2012 will be given in a variety of categories.

Members of the Tyler design community have a unique appreciation for the challenges faced by students in the design major. You know that success at Tyler is achieved through a tremendous amount of hard work—hours of research, countless do-overs and many sleepless nights. It is an experience like no other. The results are truly spectacular and the best work merits meaningful recognition. In order to fund these awards we are in need of your support. So please give as generously as you can—but know that any amount, small or large, will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
