Sherril Dodds, Professor, Department Chair

Dr. Dodds received her Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees from the University of Surrey, UK. Prior to joining the Temple faculty, Dr. Dodds served as Senior Lecturer in Dance Studies, Head of Department, and Director of Postgraduate Research at the University of Surrey. Her research expertise centers on dance on screen, popular dance, and cultural theory approaches to dance. |
Wendy Magee, Associate Professor

Dr. Magee completed undergraduate study in music therapy at the University of Melbourne, Australia and graduate study at the Royal College of Music in London. Prior to joining the Temple faculty she served as a music therapy clinician, researcher and manager at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability in London. Wendy held honorary research fellowships at King's College London, the University of Sheffield, City University (London), and the University of Southampton. Her research interests are focused on developing an evidence base for music therapy practice for people with neurological conditions and advancing clinical application of new and emerging electronic music technologies in music therapy. |
Paul Rardin, Associate Professor, Department Chair

Dr. Rardin completed dual master degrees in conducting and composition and a DMA in conducting at the University of Michigan. Prior to joining the Temple faculty, Dr. Rardin served as Associate Director of Choirs at the University of Michigan and Director of Choirs at Towson University. His creative work includes quality in contemporary choral composition, combining muse and technique in conducting gesture, and choral artistry. |
Emily Threinen, Associate Professor, Director of Bands

Dr. Threinen completed a Master of Music in Conducting degree at Northwestern University and a DMA in Conducting at the University of Michigan. Prior to joining the Temple faculty, she served as Director of Bands and Instrumental Division Chair at Shenandoah Conservatory. Dr. Threinen is a highly sought guest conductor and clinician. Her research and creative interests focus on conducting pedagogy, concert programming methods, and collaborations with outstanding composers to bring their work to life through performances and recordings. |
