Temple University Libraries Fall 2011 Programs Music, Music, Music! What is it about music that unites people and that tells the human story? Inspired by Temple University Press' publication of the story of the Electric Factory, the Libraries' fall 2011 public programs are centered around music. This series explores many facets of music, from criticism and journalism to entrepreneurial musical experiments; from deep Philadelphia traditions to explorations of jazz, indie music, gospel and more. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 7:30 PM The Piazza at Schmidts 2nd & Germantown Avenues Special film screening of "Philadelphia: Sound and Vision", a look at hiden stories of music and sound in the city. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2:00 PM Paley Library Lecture Hall 1210 Polett Walk Conversation on jazz with WRTI's legendary jazz broadcaster Bob Perkins (right), and musicians Orrin Evans, Dawn Warren Evans and Temple's own Terrell Stafford.
