City Food Tours: Eat a Bite of Ethnic New York in NoLita Saturday, May 19 11:00 AM: Meet up with fellow alumni at Spring Lounge Spring Lounge 48 Spring St. New York, NY 10012 Noon-2:00 PM: Tour Meet at 210 Lafayette St. New York, NY 10012 Join fellow alumni and friends for NoLita: Eat a Bite of Ethnic New York. Start your day by getting to know fellow alumni at Spring Lounge, then begin your tour. Discover the history behind some of the best foods you've ever had in one of Manhattan's trendiest neighborhoods. This compact area, nestled between Little Italy, Chinatown and SoHo, is chock-full of quaint, small streets, a wide variety of ethnic foods and interesting architecture. This area used to be a part of the Lower East Side and today features some of the chicest shops in the city. Learn how these foods are made, how best to enjoy them and what to look for when buying them. While you're munching on goodies, you'll meet purveyors and chefs and have an opportunity to ask them questions. Bring the kids along (age 8 and up) on this very easy walking tour. $42 per person (13+) all-inclusive (includes tour, food and gratuities) $29 per child (ages 8 through 12) all-inclusive This event cannot accommodate infants and children under 8.
