Temple Victorious!


In a gutsy upset victory, Temple's men's basketball team stunned the nation Wednesday with a 78-73 upset of 3rd ranked Duke.

Before the game, the players took the Broad Street subway to the sold-out Wells Fargo Center, in honor of Temple's many alumni over the years who made a similar commute while earning their degrees. After a tense 40 minutes of play and sound of the last buzzer, the floor of the court became a sea of Cherry & White as Temple fans celebrated.

This victory comes barely three weeks after Temple's football team decisively won the Gildan New Mexico Bowl to cap off their 9-4 season. And across the U.S., record numbers of prospective students and fans are drawn to the university's reputation for academics, research and programs that improve the world we live in. What an amazing way to start the new year, and what an exciting time to be a Temple Owl!
