Exploring the City
Temple University Libraries Spring 2012 Programs
Perhaps the phrase that best describes the 21st century city is "constant evolution." The diversity of arts, business, architecture and people, the dynamism between city planning, politics and neighborhoods—these elements constantly shift and interact to make a city unique.
Temple University Libraries will explore the many elements that comprise today's city from a variety of perspectives: academics, authors, artists, citizens, planners, civic leaders, preservationists and more. Visit us this spring!
On the afternoon of February 15, learn about leadership, management and the three types of leaders with Dr. Karol M. Wasylyshyn, as she discussed "Behind the Executive Door."
This February 21st at 5:30 PM Emanuel Kelly and Rebecca Yamin discuss the archeology, discoveries and interpretation around The President's House: Freedom and Slavery in Making a New Nation.
Our ongoing faculty lecture series, Chat in the Stacks, explores Race in the Race—the racial politics of our national politics, on February 23rd.
On February 28th at 2:30 PM don't miss a screening of The City Dark and a panel discussion with film director and Temple faculty members on our relationship to the night sky.
Programs will continue into March, so don't forget to check out our full schedule!
