School of Media and Communication, Temple University

You recently received a letter in the mail about Temple University’s newly created Center for the Arts and the beginning of a new era for both communication and arts education here at Temple.

As you may know, last summer, the Temple University Board of Trustees voted to change the School of Communications and Theater to the School of Media and Communication, and to create a new Center for the Arts, which joins the Boyer College of Music and Dance and the Tyler School of Art with the Division of Theater, Film and Media Arts.

We want to hear from you about this transition.

As an RTF graduate, how would you like Temple to designate your affiliation in its alumni records and communicate with you? Visit alumni.temple.edu/RTFupdate to update your contact information and let us know whether you would prefer to be affiliated with the School of Media and Communication (SMC), or with the Center for the Arts. It's your choice.

This affiliation will determine whether you continue to receive mail and email from SMC, including Intercom, invitations to SMC events and opportunities to support these programs, or whether you'll receive similar information from the Center for the Arts.

For your reference, here are the current faculty members:

Film & Media Arts
Allan Barber
Warren Bass
Peter d'Agostino
David Parry
Eran Preis
Jeff Rush
Paul Swann

Media Studies & Production Faculty (School of Media and Communication) Lewis Klein
Howard Myrick
Howard Rice
Betsy Leebron Tuttleman

If we do not hear from you, you will continue to be affiliated with the School of Media and Communication by default.
