The new Master of Science in Engineering Management program

The College of Engineering is pleased to announce a number of new courses, designed in conjunction with the Fox School of Business, to provide management insights for engineers and scientists. Courses include topics such as project management, quality management, new product development, design thinking, and management and marketing for technologists.

The flagship program is the new Master of Science in Engineering Management (EMGT) which can be taken full-time over 12 months, or part-time over 24 months. Courses can also be taken individually or as certificates, and are designed for those who wish to pursue careers in technology-based ventures, and want to learn the management techniques necessary to drive and oversee innovation and technology development, and their implementation in organizations.

The program will give participants insights into the market and commercial factors that should be considered when developing new products or technologies, or introducing them into an organization. Each course is designed to enhance knowledge of the challenges of deploying new technologies and combines the latest management theories with practical experience. Courses are taught by world-class faculty from within Temple as well as globally acknowledged subject matter experts.

To make the courses (and indeed the entire program) more accessible for working professionals, most of the courses are offered in the evenings and on weekends. Students also have the option of taking classroom-based or online versions of certain classes.
