Did you know that Temple Made is actually Temple Made? That’s right, Temple Made, Temple University’s recent branding effort promoting the impact this distinguished institution has on the world, was created and executed by Temple alumni, students, faculty and staff. By uniquely incorporating the Temple community into the campaign and leveraging social media networks, the amazing stories and achievements that are Temple Made are brought to life.

On behalf of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Temple University Alumni Association, you are invited to a celebration of Temple Made, featuring two Temple alumni that were a pivotal part of the team at Neiman, the agency chosen to help the university conceptualize and execute this extraordinary campaign. They will share an insider’s perspective on the campaign’s evolution and the unique moments that captured its excitement and impact.

$10 per person includes reception and discussion
$5 per person for Young Alumni (all alumni under 30)

Temple Alumni Global Day of Service
Saturday, November 9, 2013—All day, everywhere!

Designed to unite Temple alumni and friends worldwide in community service on a single day, the TUAA’s first annual Global Day of Service is a great opportunity to help spread the pride alumni have for Temple and demonstrate how Temple alumni change the world!

We need alumni to organize events in their region on Saturday, November 9, 2013. We will help you to get the word out and also supply volunteer t-shirts to your group. Below is information on organizing an event and becoming a Site Leader.

Site leaders are the backbone of Global Day of Service. A site leader finds an organization in their area that could use the assistance of volunteers; he/she schedules the event for the charity and serves as a conduit between the charity and the Temple volunteers. It is important for the site leader to determine specifics and include this on the Site Leader registration form here.

The University will add your event to our list of featured events and notify Owls living in and around that area encouraging them to sign up to join the site you are managing that day.

Suggestions for Volunteering
Consider the following ways to serve in your area:

  • Donate blood
  • Serve food at a soup kitchen
  • Help beautify your city
  • Deliver meals to homebound individuals
  • Donate food items to your local food bank
  • Make seamless blankets for the homeless
  • Write to soldiers
  • Become a TemPAL
  • Become a mentor/Provide Career Advice to a high school student
