Hello, Choral Singers and Conductors!
By now, I’m hoping you have reserved the April 4 and 5 dates on your calendar for the Temple University Choral Reunion this coming spring. Your committee, our wonderful staff, and I have been working to refine the reunion schedule so that we maximize the musical and social experiences we will provide that weekend.
We expect to have a full/complete schedule and all registration materials available by the end of January, so please keep an eye out for their arrival. You will be able to register online or by the old paper, pen, and stamp method. (Remember that?) Although some meals, receptions, parking, music,* and other amenities will be included, we are trying to keep the registration fee reasonable and affordable. We will need a fairly accurate count of participants by late February so we can finalize all arrangements.
We are holding a block of 22 rooms at the Conwell Inn, located on campus just behind Mitten Hall at a special reduced reunion rate of $129. It is a very nice place to stay and will be extremely convenient if you are traveling a distance. Check it out online (conwellinn.com). Do not wait for registration materials and do not delay in making your reservation, however, as that is a relatively small number of rooms. A convention in the city of Philadelphia will make finding rooms in Center City difficult (and probably expensive), so I suggest making your reservation early. The reunion activities will begin at 1:00 PM that Friday and conclude after the evening concert and reception on Saturday. A two-night stay may be advisable depending upon your travel schedule.
All of us are excited about the potential for this reunion and particularly the prospect of reuniting and singing with our friends and former conductors. I sincerely hope you are planning to join us.

*Please bring your own copy of Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass if you have one. We have a limited number of copies to distribute, but will have a better idea after we know how many participants to expect.
