Boyer College of Music and Dance

Dear Temple Choral Alumni,

What a weekend we had! For the roughly 130 choral revelers who came back to our stunningly transformed campus, it was an unforgettable gathering. Singing for our former teachers, conductors and for the new choral faculty reminded us all how important Temple University has been to the field of choral music in the U.S. and abroad for more than half a century.

And those who attended were not only music majors. They represented many fields and colleges across Temple—the kind of gathering that is at the core of our art. Together we sang, ate, toured the campus, discussed our history and role in monumental historic moments in this country and reconnected in a way that can only be achieved in person.

For many of us to sing again for Robert Page, Janet Yamron, Alan Harler and Sonya Garfinkle, and to sing anew with Paul Rardin and Rollo Dilworth, as well as to hear their choirs and those of Mitos Andaya and Christine Bass, it was quite an occasion. We were privileged to sing alongside current students and conductors and to experience firsthand the incredible growth of our Temple University.

While it was impossible for many of you to be present, I hope we can do this again soon. In the meantime, enjoy the photos from the event and do stay in touch.

With every good wish,
Jeff Cornelius
